Charmed Cable beanie

new beanie pattern with a special free offer

I am a chicken when it comes to Winter. ( N.B. no offence intended to any feathered friends reading this post). While we don't see snow here in Queensland even on the coldest days, that piercing Winter wind can quickly whip up the goosebumps. The persistent chill gets through the smallest holes to make its unwelcome presence felt. And that my friends, is how the Charmed Cable beanie pattern came to be created. I ... wanted ... to ... stay ... warm!

The name probably gives it away, but there are lots of crocheted cables. I love cables as they are simple to do, but look like I've been terribly clever.

I love their texture and the way they magically appear to weave in and out of each other.

The pattern is written with UK/AUS instructions only, to make three different sizes ... Toddler, Small adult and Large Adult.
The beanie for my one year old, just toddling granddaughter has a cute wool pom pom,

while a luxurious fur pom pom adorns the Small Adult size [i.e. mine 😄] ,

or no pom pom at all for the men in my family.

Make it up straight from the pattern,
or add a touch of whimsical embroidery.

I just had to share photos of this gorgeous beanie made and embroidered by the talented Jo who patiently pattern tested the Charmed Cable Beanie pattern for me. How darned cute are those embroidered mushrooms she added! The Charmed Cable beanie pattern would have crawled along very s.l.o.w.l.y without the encouragement of my lovely Instagram friend.
For some extra inspiration pop over to #charmedcablebeanie on Instagram - you don't need an Instagram account to take a look.

Where can you find the pattern for the Charmed Cable beanie?
It's available for purchase here on Ravelry, or you can always send me a message.

And as a special offer to introduce the Charmed Cable Beanie pattern , purchase the beanie pattern before the end of October 2019 and you will receive a free copy of the matching Charmed Cable fingerless mittens pattern sent to you before it is officially released for sale.
(hint : they are being worn in the photo of my second youngest son trying out his older brother's beanie and mittens .... 🙊shhh)

Thank you for reading along today. I hope you've found something to inspire you today and always,
Happy crafting,
Kellie
